So You Call Yourself A Spoken Word: "Undecided"

"Should I Wait For A Response

Or Should I Ask Her Myself.

I Want To Tell Her How I Feel,

But Is It Risk Loosing My Wealth.

Time & Time Again, My Mama Says

I Don't Like Her, That Tran.
But I Keep Telling Her That You May Think
She A Gold Digga, But She Aint Messing
With No Broke..........Business Man!

I Wonder If I Should Go To

A Place To Figure Things Out.

It Would Be Better That Way So I Can Easily Shout!

Just When I Was About To Leave My Folks House,

She Comes At Their Door With A Surprise.

I Get Nervous & Stare At Her Thick Juicy Thighs. She Say's " Wrong Door". Damn Damn Damn!

She Runs With Her Mariah Carey Legs To
Her Nick Cannon Look-A-Like Man.

I Know You May Be Wondering, Why Her? She Doesn't Love You Back.
But Shh! Mind Yo Business, It Aint You Loving The Girl With Weave Tracks.

But I Started Thinking Finally!

Is This The Woman Who I Want To Have
My Nice Kids With? I Don't Know?

It's Undecided.....Thank Goodness!"

My Movie Review Of Se7en!

My My My... Wasn't This Movie Bone-Chilling!

Se7en is a crime drama that was directed by David Fincher in 1995. The lead actors are Morgan Freeman, who portray a detective who is starting to retire, and Brad Pitt, who portray a detective to a new city. Later in the movie, the two end up being partner's so they can find out who is starting the murders that are in their home city. All of the crimes that are in the film all connect to the seven deadly sins: Gluttony, Envy, Lust, Pride, Sloth, Greed and Wrath.
What makes Se7en the movie that stand out is the fact that the crimes are not seen by the audience. Strangely, since we were not able to see what had happened during the murders, it made th movie more interesting to watch. It's generally because of the explicit description of each crimes, with the victims frequently left alone in an awful condition, connecting the examining results, you get the chance to feel the agony that everyone had gone through, although we were not able to see anything. Another thing that makes this movie stand out is the serial killer. This serial killer differs is, he is shown a number amount of time before the film ends.
Overall, this is a great movie to watch! I rate this movie 4 stars!

The Seven Deadly Sins! (Try Not Too Commit Any Of These, Or Anything Ungodly!)

The Seven Deadly Sins, can be also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins, are

LUST Lust Is a need for sex and/or things of a sexual nature. Lusts includes the following: sexual pleasure in the mind, sexual desires, and sexual actions. If Lust is not dealt with, it may lead to masturbation, rape, and a few others.

GluttonyGluttony is the need to over eat/or drink to the extreme.

Greed/Avarice - Greed is the need of having materials or wealth. The symptoms of Greed are the following; theft, robbery, or receiving anything by  tricking, violence, misleading, or manipulation.

SlothSloth is more a feeling rather than a need of anything. Sloth contains the following: Sadness, depression, or the lack of feeling joy. People that suffer from a deep depression can have thoughts or plans for suicide.

Wrath - Wrath is more of a feeling rather than a need of anything. Wrath contains the following rage, hatred, or vengeance/revenge. The symptoms of Wrath can turn out in physical abuse of themself or others, murder, or even genocide.

Envy - Envy is the need to have better or be better than other people. Also the need to have the goods of others. Wanting what others have for yourself.

Pride/Vanity - Pride is the need to be the most beautiful, most talented, or public acceptance. The symptoms of Pride is selfishness.

These are all the seven deadly sins. One of the reasons why they are the deadly sins is, each sin that are not mention, all fall into the category t at least one the deadly sins. Try Hard not too commit any of the deadly sins. And if you do commit any of them, remember to repent to the lord.

Thank You... And God Bless!

Post-Vintage Shopping!

My experience after Vintage shopping was not creative, after vintage shopping I felt like there was know point of what we were doing at all. Remember the assignment I was telling you about, and I quote "We are competing in a group challenge. The challenge is for each group member to find an article of clothing that could not exceed the total cost of $60.00.  After each group finds their clothing, they then have to create a scene and a theme using the materials that they purchased."... Well after the vintage shopping trip, we all went home for the weekend.

On Monday, our class started rehearsing their scenes, while my group were not able to rehearse because a few of the members were "busy" doing "something else". Until the days past by, then comes performance day. The first group had an 80's theme, kinda based on Olivia Newton-John's single "Physical". They did well, except that there was not a lot of acting involved in their scene, just mainly dancing! Then my group was second, and man it was horrendous! It felt like we did not know what we were doing. Man I just felt we could have done better. We should have rehearsed when we were supposed to!

So the message for this blog is, pre-plan any presentation, performance, or anything you do that is important in your life!

Black Girls Rock Awards!

Tonight is BET's 1st annual Black Girls Rock Award! "Black Girls Rock!" is a tribute devoted to honoring African-American "Icons, Moguls and Sheroes" hosted by the one and only Nia Long. It will be televised for the first time on BET Sunday (November 7...Tonight) at 8 p.m. ET.

Keri Hilson, Keyshia Cole, Shontelle and many more will be performing there tonight, along with honorees such as Raven Symone, Missy Elliot, Keke Palmer, and much more who will be presented with their respectful awards.

The moral of th show is to let young black girls to know that they matter, in the entertainment industry! Beverly Bond, founder chief executive officer and executive producer of “Black Girls Rock!", said it better when she says “This historic partnership with BET marks the beginning of an empowerment movement for women of color across the globe because 'Black Girls Rock' all over the world are not being told how amazing they really are or how amazing they really can be. It is time that we start telling them. It is time that we start shouting out to the entire world that 'We Black Girls Rock!'"

The "Wicked" Trip!

On Wednesday, November 3rd, my class and I went on a trip to downtown Toronto. We first went to the Eaton Centre, where we stayed to shop, or to eat, from 10am to 1pm. Then we went to the meeting spot at Sears where we were getting our tickets to go to the Cannon Theatre to See.....WICKED!
Wicked takes place before the story of 'the Wonderful Wizard of Oz'.
It's the untold story of the witches of oz!

Wicked was really Wicked! I have to say that when I sat down in my seat (we were sitting in the orchestra section), I was about to fall asleep, only because I woke up early that day. But lucky thing I did not! The Musical was tremendous! There was flying, there was singing, there was dancing, and there was comedy, this was a great experience! I came to watch this musical because I wanted to know what had happened before the wonderful wizard of oz; how the wicked witch became wicked? How does the wicked witch and the good witch know each other? Were they sisters? And then all of my questions were answered when I sat down and enjoyed they play. It ended up that the wicked witch wasn't actually wicked, and that even though the good witch was shown intelligent... she was actually clueless. I actually thought that the good witch and the wicked witch were sisters, but NO! They were best friends!

This was just an amazing experience, and when I look at it now... I understand more about "the Wonderful Wizard of Oz"! The musical explained how the lion, the scarecrow, and the tinman became what they are. All I know is that this was a great experience for me, and I really enjoyed this musical... This was marvelous....five stars!

Thank You...And God Bless!

How I Feel?

Right Now, I Feel Like I’m Being Hold Back By Something. I Guess It’s The Fact That I Miss The Old Days, When I Would Spent The Holidays Or Weekend With My Immediate Or Extended Family. Back Then I Would Be Over My Aunt’s Or Uncle’s House Almost Every Other Month. We Would Have A Nice Family BBQ, Birthday Party’s, Sleepover's, And Another Party For No Reasons. We Would Also Share These Events With Family Friends. We Would Play Games Or Talk About Something Else... Like The Past!

I've Been Alive For Nealy 16 Years Now, And I Met More Of My Father’s Side Of The Family (Through My Grandmother) over Jamaica in 2008.... 2 Years Ago! I Felt Awkward Because Those Relatives Are Around My Age Or Older, And I Don’t Have That Family Relationship With Them; Every time They Would Reminisce, I Felt Left Out Only Since I Just Recently Met Them; I Have Nothing To Share With Them. I Mean All Those Years I Could Have Met The Rest Of My Family, And My Father Chose For Me To Meet Them When I Was 14 Years Old...Lol (I Ain't Mad, Just To Tell You!) And The Funny Thing Is, He Goes To Jamaica At least Once A Year, Sometimes Even 3 Times A Year. I Can’t Remember One Year He Hasn’t Went.

I Just Felt Like I Missed Out A lot In My Family, You Know! And When I Am With That Part Of My Family And They Wonder Why I'm By Myself!  I'm Only By Myself Because I Barely Know You Them!

But Now A Year After That ( 2009) I Saw Them Again, And We Became Friends. Then I Went Back In The Summer, And Now Were Good Friends (Well Not All Or Them....Lol!)

Basically, I Am Telling You That Family Is Important, And We Need Them In Our Lives, Whether They Are Immediate Or Extended!

Ossington Trip: Life On The Street!

As I was visiting Ossington Ave on Friday, October 29 in Downtown Toronto, I was observing the everyday life of the people in Toronto; the people are very different if you were to compared them with people from other cities of Ontario. The people in other cities are more quiet, they like to keep to them selves, they're not sociable to one another, which cause them to be quite rude. Where as the people in Downtown Toronto are more sociable, multicultural, and diverse in their own style and attitude. Surprisingly, the people in Brampton, Hamilton, Caledon etc. lack all of these things which makes Toronto as one of the best place to be!

The people over their are fun! You have people who dress their dogs, who wear color-dye in their hair, who have a comfortable aurora to be around. They are people who are not scared of expressing their cultures and their selves. There are a lot of people down in Downtown Toronto with different personalities, which is quite easy to adapt down there!

Downtown Toronto has so many homeless people that the homeless people actually prefer to live on the streets rather than having their own homes to live in. When I was down there I noticed something important, that know matter how homeless a person is or how unpleasant the person may look, homeless people are quite intelligent people; despite not taking care of themselves, they have talent. This one guy who I met was homeless, and he was a poet! He was creating poems out of thin air, like when a seagull blasts off for people food.  When I heard his poem I was, I thought "Man I gotta give this man something", so my group members and I gave him $4.00.
I also took a picture of him. Here He Is:

Homeless people in general taught me a valuable lesson that everyone should know by now! Don't judge a book by its' cover, because you don't know what your up against. But Wayne Deyer said it better himself, and I quote, "When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself." Now that is what you call Karma...Lol

Ossington Trip: Vintage Shop!

Oh My Gosh! I went Vintage Shopping in downtown Toronto with my classmates, and man wasn't it a pain in the leg......Literally! But what an awesome experience it was.

First off, My class and I went vintage shopping because we were competing in a group challenge. The challenge was for each group member to find an article of clothing that could not exceed the total cost of $60.00.  After each group finds their clothing, they then have to create a scene and a theme using the materials that they purchased.
We had to create a blue print so we could know where we were going.  My group traveled from Ossington Avenue to Queen and Spadina for three hours...Three hours! Looking for a costume or a prop that will fit our characters. When my group got to Ossington Ave. the vintage stores were not open as yet; therefore, we decided to have our brunch first. While we were looking for a place to brunch, we looked for stores that sold vintage clothing. One thing that I dislike about vintage stores is that their clothes do not smell pleasant. To be honest, I actually had a hard time staying in the stores. But I have to say.... vintage stores sell very cheap clothes!
When the vintage stores finally opened, we went crazy! We started looking back and forth asking people questions so that we could have a successful time looking for what we needed.
Unfortunetly, we were unable to find what we needed in the first four storesUntil we were directed to walk a half an hour to a cheap vintage store called "Black Market". It was hectic! One of my group members was nearly a kilometre away.

Man were we happy! And the best part was, nearly everything was $10.... We all screamed Hallelujah! We were shopping like crazy! We were trying on all these clothes, and helping one another with our costumes. We were so happy that we got selfish to the point where we didn't want to share 'Black Market' with any of our classmates,  we were willing to send them to the wrong store if we had to (Well actually it wasn't my groups idea, it was mine...Lol!). At the end of the day, we were successful for finding our costumes, and having each of them cost $10 plus tax, but we bargained and the price came up to be $56.00 instead of $60.00.

Despite the negative stuff I said, Vintage Shopping was and is an excellent experience to enjoy. I recommend anyone who have problems shopping for great clothes to vintage shop whenever you have the time...Vintage shopping is  for everyone to enjoy!

Thank You....And God Bless!

The Three M's?

For a class assignment, I have to find a celebrity who has had a tragic life. Not only does the celebrity have to be tragic, but they must have a slight resemblance of me.

I honestly don't know who I should do for this monologue. Right now it is a challenge between Muhammad Ali, Marvin Gaye, or Malcolm X. But they are such historical people who I think I may not live up to there tragedy. I know I should be thinking positive about these things, but I learned that you have to be realistic and truthful about what you're getting into. So the truth is I don't know which one of the three I should do. Or should I keep looking for more tragic celebrities?

The three M's have experienced a lot of tragedy in their lives which is hard to believe they survived. Except one, which is Marvin Gaye! Marvin Gaye made tragic history when he was murdered by his own father. Long story short, man (Marvin's father) yells at his wife (Marvin's mother). Son (Marvin), defending his mother, yells back at father. Father yells at son. Son strikes his father. Father murders son. I mean how tragic does it get when you are murdered by your own father. I am not sure if I want to challenge myself as this icon.

Another one of the three is Muhammad Ali. What's tragic about him... hmmmm? Well let me tell you, he has been  diagnosed with the Parkinson Syndrome for over 26 yrs. The cause of his diagnose was believed to be triggered from his loss during the match with Larry Homes, another famous boxer, who severely injured Ali and caused him to have a head trauma. I am not sure if I want to challenge this icon either.

The last one of the three is Malcolm X. Malcolm X  was against white violence! Showing that he was against this, Malcolm became an advocate and a precursor of the black movement. But what's tragic about him? Because he was black in the 60's, racism was a curse during these times. Malcolm suffered death threats, extortions, and later suffered an assassination. OMG....This is all very overwhelming for me. Another icon who is a challenge! Can I really do this? Which one of the three M's will I choose?

To Be Continued!

Flashback Wednesday!

This Blog Is Called Flashback Wednesday, Where I Type Out A Past Memory About Anything That I Did.... I Am Going To Take You Back To A Blog I Did On October 26, 2009.

And I Quote:

"Hey Ya, This is Dane And This Is My Second Blog, Since I Was Supposed To Type My Second Blog Two-Days Ago I Will Be Making Up For It Today. On Wednesday, October 14, 2009.  The Arts Department And I Went On A Trip Downtown Toronto To Go And Be An Audience For So You Think You Can Dance. It Was Fun On Our Way There,  And Then When We Stopped We Got Something To Eat (Wendys/Tim Hortons). When We Got There, We Had To Wait For So Long! But It Was “Worth It”. We Had Such A Good Time. We Waited In Another Line To Get Autographs Of The Judges For SYTYCDC, And Trust Me I Thought My Friends And I Were Immature, But I Was Wrong."

My AHA Moment!

So I Am Reading The Sixth Edition Of Acting Professionally.....
On Page 156 There Is A Sub-chapter Called Interview Attitude...

As I Was Reading There Was A Section That Made Me Say....AHA! And The Aha Moment Was Where It Talked About, And I Quote, "Casting People Are Actually Afraid Of People Who Act". This Sentence Made Me Say AHA Because It Got Me Wondering, If Casting People Are Afraid Of People Who Act, Then What Are They Looking For That Makes Them Feel Comfortable? I Know That Many People Who Have Done Interviews Have Told At least Some Kind Of Fib About There selves, And Yet They Become Actors....Shouldn't The Casting Directors Be Scared Of Them? Shouldn't They Be Telling Them That They Did Not Make It?.....I Don't Know Man! The World Is A Crazy Place!

Using Substitutions For Natural Speech

This Article Is So Helpful!.....I Find This Article Very Helpful For Me Only Because I Have Trouble Remembering My Lines, And That My Voice Is Very Monotone. What This Blog Talks About Is That The Substitution Method Of Acting Technique Allows You To Remember Your Lines In A Way You Don't Usually Think Of, And When You Do Use This Method, You Will Be Able To Remember Your Lines And Will Be Capable Of Saying Them With Realism.

I Agree With The Whole Blog...I Think That Substitution Is One Of The Best Tools To Use As An Actor When It Comes To Memorizing A Script. As An Actor I Use Substitution For Building Realistic Affects, Or Splitting Myself Of Vocal Arrangement. I Agree Because, Substitution Brings Ideas To My Thoughts About How I'm Going To Delivery My Lines In Such Actions I Wouldn't Even Think Of. Repeating My Lines Over And Over Again Helped Me Memorize Them In A Different Way Instead Of The Usual.

The Article Talks About Substitution As A Technique That Helps You Connect Your Feelings With Your Lines To Have A Firm Character. It Also Talks About Using Substitutions In A Performance, That You Must Have One Key Equipment Which Is To Be Present With Your Emotions. When Your Feelings Are True, You Will Be Able To Put Your Feelings In Every Word Of Your Line That Will Give You A Great Scene.
